God's Guidance
Believers in our Lord and Savior often ask how they can know God's will for their life
What they are really saying is I want God to come down here and get things straightened out for me.
However I enjoyed a short explanation about God's will as found in the word Guidance. Guidance is really what we need to be searching for and often we are so in control of our lives that we wouldn't recognize God's guidance if it hit us in the face. Ok, so what am I getting at?
The word Guidance tells us all we need to know. G stands for God who is the one who knows the beginning from the end. the next two letters tells who God wants to guide. He wants to guide "u" and "I" down the path of righteous living. It'd kind of like a dance, the letters of which make up the last part of the word guidance. When we dance there has to be a leader and a follower or else there is tourmoil. "G" God is the leader in the word Guidance and ought to have first place in our lives as well. God wants to lead U and I in the dance of life.
So when if your truly searching for Guidance from God, then you need to allow Him to lead wherever He so chooses. Stop trying to orchestrate your own life and ask God to take the lead and show you the way. Then be willing to follow wherever He wants to take you.
Isa 58:11
