1 Peter 2:4-6
4 As you come to him, the living Stone-rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him- 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.   NIV

I like the illustration that compares us to a building.  Every building is made up of many part.  Each component is different and yet they are all part of one unified building.  We are all different in God's church and have been given different Spiritual gifts for the common good of the Church body.  One Lord, One baptism, One God who is Lord of us all.  But unlike a physical building, we are a spiritual building made up of living breathing human beings.   So for the spiritual building known as the church to survive and thrive we all need to do our part to ensure the integrity of the building.  Together we are to serve one another with our Spiritual Gifts. When we do the church is healthy and powerful.  Let's find our place of service by discovering our spiritual gifts.
